BeReal Spec Campaign
I created these spec ads alongside a fellow copywriter, Claire Harvey, while taking a portfolio course with The Book Shop school for ads. The campaign was for a then-fledging social media app, BeReal.
Each day, the app notifies users at a random time that it’s “time to BeReal.” You then have two minutes to post a photo of exactly what you’re doing, for an audience of only the circle of friends you add to the app.
Claire and I mocked print ads for a campaign titled “Back to reality.” to draw a sharp contrast between the contrived worlds we build on regular social media, and the fresh world BeReal opens back up.
